Version 1
Hi there! I love this song and was surprised that it wasn't
on here, so I had to do it! It's an oldie but still great to
listen to and play:) As always...I tried! Let me know what ya
think! Also, the beginning strumming is kinda hard if you can't
really pick (like me) so I just kind of wing it! It still sounds
pretty good;)

G [3x0033]
F [x33211]
C [x32010]
C/F [x33010] -The C/F can be ignored and just play an F, but I like the
Am7 [x02010] slight change it gives.

She looked me in the eye and said, "It's over."
                  G* C*
I can't take this heartache anymore."
                         G* F*
She said, "Don't tell me lies and try to please me.
                                  G* F G -one strum each
I've heard it all so many times before."

(Reg.strum. here on out)
    C G F
And I took her by the arm and said, "Don't leave me!
                        G C
There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do.
                        G F
Just give me time, I'll be the man you've needed."
                               G C
She said, "I wish that I could take that for the truth."

             C/F F C

                 C/F F
And I told her, "Someday!"
             Am7 Am
She said, "I can't wait;
                G F G C
'Cause sometimes someday just never comes."

           G/B F
She said, "All I've ever wanted was to love you,
                   G C
And somewhere deep inside me I still do.
    G/B F
But now I think it's time I stop believing,
                                       G
'Cause I'm never gonna see a change in you."

             C/F F C
And I said, "Someday, I'll get my life straight."
                    G C
And she said, "It's too late; what's done is done."
                 C/F F
And I told her, "Someday!"
             Am7 Am
She said, "I can't wait;
                G F G C
'Cause sometimes someday just never comes."
